How to use watercolor drops?

Fluids (drops) are very easy to use and even a beginner can handle them. The first thing to remember is that watercolor blobs are liquid watercolor and all the rules that apply to ordinary watercolor apply to it.

In order for watercolor to lay down, you need a matte surface (like watercolor paper), you can apply a matte top over white, you can apply a regular top and buff it. Doesn't matter. It is important that the surface is not glossy, otherwise the watercolor will be collected in one drop and nothing will work.

Technique for applying watercolor fluids:

Apply gel polish on the nail in two layers. Dry in a lamp.

Apply matte top, dry. You can use a velveteen top, it is ideal to draw small details on it. For blurry designs, cashmere is ideal, it is very similar in structure to watercolor paper.

Take a small amount of watercolor with a brush and stretch it over the nail. Squeeze the brush on a napkin and collect the rest of the watercolor with a brush. Remember to wring out the brush after each use.

Apply watercolor a few more times creating a three-dimensional pattern. 

Air dry for 30-40 seconds until completely dry. 

Apply top without a sticky layer and send to dry in a lamp.
