Our advantages

Self-fixing hydrocolloid dressing has a breathable and water-repellent outer film layer that prevents the penetration of microorganisms. When in contact with wound secretions, the dressing creates a moist environment in the wound. Thanks to the gel layer, the bandage does not stick to the wound. Changing the dressing occurs without irritation of granulation and epithelial tissue and is painless for the patient.

Indications

Recommended for the treatment of wounds with slight to moderate exudation, especially for chronic wounds with delayed formation of granulation tissue. It can also be used to treat second-stage burns, as well as superficial abrasions.

Application

The bandage must be selected in accordance with the size of the wound - the bandage must extend at least 1 cm beyond the edges of the wound for reliable fixation. The dressing is changed if necessary - as soon as the exudate extends beyond the edges of the wound or the dressing becomes deformed in the form of a blister. On a wound of minor complexity, the dressing can remain on the wound for up to 7 days.

Hydrocoll® dressing is not used on exposed muscles, tendons, or bones; for clinically infected wounds, for fungal infections; for third stage burns.
