General information:
LIGASANO® white is a therapeutically effective polyurethane foam with a wide range of applications. The therapeutic effect is mainly based on three physical principles

Mechanical stimulus: Upon contact with the skin, it has a local effect, stimulating blood circulation, thereby improving the supply of nutrients and oxygen to the treated area of ​​​​the skin and having a preventive effect on still healthy skin. Especially in inactive patients, reduced, normal functions of the body are locally supported.
Mechanical stimulation continues for up to three days, then replace the LIGASANO® white material no later than after three days.

Low compressive stress: Adaptation to contours with slight compression, uniform, reduced load on the coma and body.
Targeted suction effect: Excess fluid is absorbed without having a drying effect
Prevents skin maceration and simultaneously cares for the skin.
LIGASANO® white may discolor to yellow. This does not mean a decrease in quality.

Purpose of use:
For non-sterile use as a secondary dressing (without contact with the wound) in wound care or in accompanying wound care, e.g. to reduce pressure or prophylactically as protection against pressure and friction.

Indications:
Accompanying wound care and pressure relief in acute wounds, chronic wounds (e.g. pressure ulcers, Ulcus cors. diabetic foot ulcers), postoperative wounds and impaired healing of postoperative wounds, thermal cancers (e.g. burns, hot liquid burns, frostbite).
Prevention of still healthy skin, such as prevention of pressure ulcers by active positioning on LIGASANO° white, or prevention of maceration and diaper rash.

Adverse effects, side effects, residual risks:
If the general care instructions and our instructions are followed, there are no special risks when using LIGASANO° white non-sterile for pressure relief and hygiene.
LIGASANO® white non-sterile is a simple product whose effect is due to its structure. It does not contain or release any active ingredients. Undesirable side effects, incompatibilities or interactions with drugs are not known when LIGASANO* white is used correctly. Typical and desirable effects include reddening of the skin upon contact, an initial "tingling", an increase in the wound reaction and a return of sensation (in the case of wounds, salt may also return) due to stimulation of blood circulation.This effect is absolutely physiological and disappears almost immediately after stopping use of the drug.

Contraindications:
Very sensitive skin (e.g. parchment skin), wounds

Target group of patients:
Children (> 2 years to 16 years) and adult patients (> 16 years) with or without wounds.

User type:
Only medical professionals may use the product. The selection of the appropriate method of use of LIGASANO* white non-sterile is carried out by medical professionals in accordance with individual conditions.

Performance characteristics and clinical benefit:
Non-sterile dressing material LIGASANO® white can prevent the risk of developing pressure sores and wet wounds. Also the development of diaper rash and partially fungal infections in the folds of the skin.
The expected clinical effect is a very effective reduction in pressure, both in existing wounds and as a preventive measure. Another advantage is the moisture-regulating effect.

Use of dressing material LIGASANO® white non-sterile for pressure relief and hygiene:
LIGASANO® white non-sterile is intended for single use only. The product must not be used after the expiration date and is not approved for recycling.
LIGASANO® white non-sterile material should not be left on the body permanently. Recommendation: Change after 1-3 days, depending on indications.Use in contact, connection or combination with additional drugs, medications, solutions, ointments, etc. We have not checked. Application in connection with additional mechanical, electrical or electronic devices and accessories has not been tested by us.
