3M K112 Respirator FFP 2 Face Mask This product complies with EN149 2001 + A1: 2009 filter respirators for aerosol use. These masks are used to help protect the wearer from certain solid and non-volatile liquid particles according to their performance classification: FFP1 up to 4 x MAC, FFP2 to 12x HDC, and FFP3 up to 50 x MAC. Warnings and Limitations Make sure the product is: Suitable for the job; Used according to the instructions given; Used during the entire time spent in the danger zone; Timely replaced if necessary. Before using the personal protective equipment, the user must receive appropriate training. These products do not contain components made from natural rubber latex. These products do not protect against gases/vapours. Do not use when air oxygen concentration is less than 19.5% (3M recommendation. Regulatory documents of different countries may establish their own requirements for the permissible level of oxygen in the air, and if in doubt, contact the authorized organizations for information). Do not use for respiratory protection against unknown airborne contaminants if the concentration of airborne contaminant is unknown or hazardous to life or health. The product is not intended for users with beards or other facial hair, which may affect the fit of the respirator and significantly reduce the level of protection. Leave the contaminated area immediately if: a) Breathing becomes difficult. b) Feeling dizzy or otherwise feeling unwell. Remove the respirator if it is damaged or breathing resistance has increased significantly. It is not recommended to use the resprator for more than one work shift. Dispose of in accordance with local regulations. It is forbidden to change, modify, clean, repair the respirator. Before using, make sure that the product has not expired (use by date). Dressing instructions Choose the most suitable size from the available respirators. The standard respirator size is recommended for most users. Reduced (S) respirator size is recommended for users with small face sizes. The user's hands must be clean when putting on the respirator. Before use, check the integrity of all components of the respirator. 1. Using both hands, place your fingers on the top of the respirator and place your thumbs on the sides of the nose plate. Bend the nose plate slightly in the center. 2. Unfold the respirator by pulling on the top and bottom, and cup it. Keep the fastening belts on the top of the respirator. 3. Hold the respirator with one hand with the open side facing your face. Position the respirator under your chin with the nose plate up. 4. Install one fastening belt below the ears, then place the other belt on the top of the head. Belts must not overlap. Adjust the top and bottom for a comfortable fit, make sure that the edges are NOT turned inward and the lower part fits snugly against the chin. The lugs on the sides of the respirator can be used to comfortably fit the respirator. 5. With both hands, crimp the nose bridge to the shape of the nose. Crimping the nose plate with only one hand usually does not give a good enough seal and reduces the effectiveness of the respirator. 6. Each time before using the respirator, it is necessary to check the tightness of its fit to the face. Checking the fit 1. Cover the face of the respirator with both hands without moving the respirator. 2. a) For a respirator without an exhalation valve, look sharply; 2. b) For a respirator with an exhalation valve, inhale sharply. 3. In case of air passing near the nose, it is better to compress the nasal plate. Repeat check. 4. In the case of air passing through the obturation band of the respirator, it is necessary to adjust the position of the respirator and the fastening belts. Repeat check. If a snug fit cannot be achieved, DO NOT enter the contaminated area. Contact the leader. In some countries, the wearer is required to undergo a face seal test before using the respirator. Contact your local 3M office for more information on performing a fit test. Before using, make sure that the product has not expired (use by date). Storage and transport Store in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, refer to the appropriate information on the package. NOTE. Storage temperatures may exceed 25°C with relative humidity up to 80%, but such storage conditions are only acceptable for a limited period of time. The storage temperature can reach 38°C at a relative humidity of 85%, but the maximum total storage time of the product under these conditions should not exceed 3 months. Subject to the above requirements, the expected shelf life is 5 years from date of manufacture. Use the original packaging to store or transport the product. Do not store products in direct sunlight.
