Polishers with an abrasiveness of 120 to 180 grit are used for processing artificial nails; they are too hard for natural ones. Polishers with abrasives from 180 to 240 grit can safely file natural nails. Abrasive from 240 to 500 grit is used for grinding, and more than 600 grit is used for polishing nails.
